Boys who wear orange together stick together

Aren't they the cutest pair. Bret loves Kristian, he can make Bret laugh like crazy. Kristian is a great entertainer for his little cousin. I hope when they get older they will be as close as brothers.

The brand spankin' somewhat used car!!!

There it is, the big beautiful blue. We got a new car!!!! I am so excited. If I look somewhat drawn and tired it is because prior to this picture being taken, I had not slept for 2 days. There's Bret checking things out. I think he likes auntie's new ride. Kristian likes it, too. He loves Dodges. Oh, did I forget to mention it is a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT. It drives sooooo nice......

And then we have the boy of many faces. He has been such a good sport even though he has had a nasty cold.

Tale of the Rusty Nail

My Mom says that little kids have to step on a rusty nail at least once. Well, Kristian did just that yesterday. We can't be too sure, but we think it went in about an inch or so. He handled it very well. He didn't cry until Luke took off his shoe and he saw all the blood on his sock. Apparently, it bled a lot. Thank goodness I was not there. But, I had the pleasure of taking him to the clinic to get it cleaned out. It was a very old rusty nail and they were more worried about the risk of infection rather than tetanus since he is up-to-date on his vaccinations. He is also very fortunate because the nail was long enough it could have come all the way through his foot. He was very relieved that he did not have to get a shot. They did put him on antibiotics and we have to soak his foot 3 times a day. He also moves a lot slower.

Puppies, Puppies, Puppies!!!!

On saturday, we went to visit a cousin who was selling her poodle puppies. Kristian was all over those puppies. I think there were 8 girls in all. I think this one was one of the smallest in the bunch. Kristian did an excellent job being gentle with the puppies.
He is such a handsome boy. Just like his Dad.
