One Dirty Auto

Oh my! The Beautiful Blue! What happened to your shine? They have gotten a lot of rain in Broadus and our poor Blue really got broken in on her maiden voyage on those muddy, muddy roads. When we got home that night she got a bath. It took $15 to wash all the mud off and we are still dealing the powder river dirt almost 2 weeks later.
Cool cloud formations. Fortunately, we were driving away from the storm.

Green Green

Luke decided to take some time and perfect his golf game down on the ranch.
How many men does it take to find a golf ball?
Kristian says, "I'm oughta here!"

Four Wheelin'

We have some pretty cute kids in our family, don't we? The little heart breaker in white is Kristian's cousin Gavin. He belongs to Luke's sister Keri and her fiance Terry.

You want me to do what?!!!!

What is that in Grandpa Francis' hands and why do I look so concerned you ask? I was asked to play a very small yet crucial role in the art of branding cattle. Well, 2 cows, to be exact. Luke's Grandpa asked me to vaccinate 2 calves. Initially I was a little surprised, but I humbly accepted the challenge.

The Doctor will see you now. Over my shoulder, my 2 patients eagerly await my visit. The professionals observe the rookie and her 1st victim.
I'd probably poop myself too if someone stuck a hot iron on me.
And Luke is saying, "Watch where you are pointing that." All in all, I had the easiest job. Luke's Dad Mitchell, his sister Sarah, and Uncle Tom had the much more difficult task of catching and wrestling these creatures. I was grateful for the opportunity to participate, it was very interesting.

A Boy and His Cousins

Here is Kristian's cousin, Trisha. Aka Pretty Girl. How many little girls do you know that have pink cowboy (cowgirl?!) boots? Too cute!
Here they are (being very silly) in the ever comfortable backseat of the new-somewhat used car.
Here is Trisha and her big brother, Kenneth. And what is so funny you ask? Scroll down.

Who knew the removal of a boot could be so funny.

Luke and the New-Somewhat Used Car

Lucas really likes driving his new car. I could not pass up taking a picture of him. He is really impressed with our little car. She can really get up and go and the gas mileage is incredible.

Rainbows and Raindrops

About 2 weeks ago we had the most beautiful spring storm. It was raining like crazy and the sunset was really serene.
This was the other view, with 2 rainbows right on top of eachother. The rainbow was so big we could only fit this much of it on the camera.
Luke took this picture with the flash on. It almost looks like infared or xray and you can even see the raindrops coming down. Too cool.

Candymaking 101

I don't know why, but every once in awhile I get these crazy ideas like making candy. Kristian's graduation theme was the rainforest and I could not pass up these cute little candies. By the end of the evening I had chocolate all over my pants and in my hair. One of my bottles got plugged and I squeezed a little to hard and I had a chocolate explosion.
Again, I forgot to rotate the picture but if you look at the yellow ladybug, you will see that it was the first of two explosions
I had frogs, ladybugs, butterflies and some flowers. All in all I made about 6 dozen candies. I wish we had taken more pictures but by the 2nd explosion, I was pretty grouchy.

Our Storyteller

Kristian was in another play. This one was "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" his role was the Storyteller. He had the most lines and the other kids had to follow his queue. He was pretty funny. If you look at the pictures below you will see his various bored and angry faces. They were singing a song about being bored and Kristian was very animated.
He knew we were watching him and he was trying very hard not to smile.

Field Day

During Kristian's last week of school a field day was held. It was a nice warm day and he and the other kids had alot of fun.
I am really glad that he is willing to try and do new things. He is quite a talented fellow.

Loose Teeth

Kristian's 2 front teeth are loose.

3's Company

Something has caught their attention, I am not sure what. I could not pass up this picture perfect opportunity.
