I had another karate promotion on October 4th, and it was kinda brutal. Here I am in Kokustsu Dachi. A very difficult stance. I had to spar and since I had no one to spar with who was my rank, I had to spar with a Blackbelt, Sensei Kevin. I did not know if I would be sparring with Sensei Kevin or Sensei Mike and 2 minutes before I had to spar Sensei Kevin came up to me and said "I guess it's you and me Babe!" If that doesn't freak you out! I ended up getting hit in the mouth, thrown down, and I rolled my right foot. I did eventually score a point to his 5 points he scored on me. It was scary, but my Sensei told me I did well.
Luke promoted, too. He was the highest scorer in the class. He did really well. He is a machine! He is practicing his kata in the photo.
This was my last kata. I was tired and I still had to spar yet.

Congratulations to both of you!!! and by the way-you did awesome sparring with Sensei Kevin. He's a tough customer and you were right on him. Go Girl!
Congratulations! It was good seeing you at the b-day party a few weeks ago.
